I was very happy to be the patron of the Festival in 2004.
I am even happier that Indian films have become more popular in the last one year.
We decided to shoot one of our films, “Salaam Namaste” in the beautiful city of Melbourne and indeed viewers all over the world have been delighted with the beautiful visuals that our film managed to capture.
Black Cat Productions played a major role in our shooting stint in Melbourne.
I am very happy to be once again a patron for the Festival 2005 and I am particularly delighted that among the films being screened, 4 are produced by my company while there are others distributed by us.
Indian films have come a long way with their technical advancement, while retaining the core of Indian values and emotions which are the basic diet for viewers of Indian films.
What is indeed gratifying is that while some of these films are different and made for matured audiences, they are all ingrained with human values and emotions – I believe this is what makes the world go around.
I wish the Festival all success and hope that more non-Indians will watch these films and appreciate them.
