About Swish MG Distribution
With the personal support of Mr. Yash Chopra, Swish Film's sister company, Swish MG Distribution launched into the Australian distribution circuit on December 20, 2002 in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
The success of the films theatrically prompted Swish MG Distribution to program Australia's first major Indian Film Festival.
The Australian Indian Film Festival is in its sixth year. It is the largest foreign film festival in Australia screening over six months across the country.Both the theatrical seasons and the festival have raised the profile and visibility of Indian films Australia wide and proven to bring in the local Indian and South East Asian community. They also have huge crossover appeal to the mainstream Australian audiences.
In April 2004 Swish MG distribution launched a DVD brand, "Bollywood Masala". The DVD's are released through mainstream outlets nationally including Blockbuster, Movieland, HMV, Sanity, and Video Ezy.
